The big barn of the Fuhrmann-farm in 2004
I start with John Paul FUHRMANN (baptised as Johann Paul Wilhelm), also when his 17 children meanwhile all passed away. But It would make too many pages, which all trace back to the same line.
John Paul was born on 5 May 1852 in
Kirchhayn, Washington County in Wisconsin as the 3rd. child of the
cabinettmaker Gottlieb Samuel Fuhrmann and his wife Friederike Louise
Henrietta Heckendorf.
He died on 13 March 1931 in Birnamwood, Shawano County, Wisconsin
John Paul worked on different places in Wisconsin. At least on his own farm in
Birnamwood. The farm is still owned by a Fuhrman, a greatgrandchild of John
Paul.
The old farmhouse , rebuild in the 1920th is in bad shape and in the
moment only inhabited by a skunk, but the big barn from 1880 is still an
imposing building.

John Paul Fuhrmann married in his first marriage on 23 Nov 1875 in Milwaukee Maria Bertha Distler , daughter of Wilhelm Distler and Caroline Schweikard.
They had 4 children.
After his first wife died abt.1884/1885, he was married a 2nd time on 9 Nov 1885 in New London, Wi. to Ernestina Pauline Affeld, daughter of Gustav Affeld and Wilhelmine Schewes from Armsfeld, county Deutsch Krone in West Prussia.
This couple had 13 children ( 7 girls, 6 boys )
