as an inhabitant without house and land and without being a citizen.
(This „von Bruchhausen“[from Bruchhausen] in this case is not a nobel-name but only the description of his place of origin, later the family used this placename for their surname. The village of Bruchhausen became a deserted place during the Plague-epidemic in 1607.
In area of the nearby village of
Holzappel there was a big farm, owned by the noble family “von Stein” called
“Steinischer Hof von Bruchhausen”. The tenants of this farm where also a
Bruchhausen-family tracing back in the churchrecords of Holzappel till abt.
1640. This family was possibly also
related to this Bruchhausen-line,
but it has not been proven, and this
family is now extinct.)
